The CHUM Inflammatory Bowel Disease Centre is Quebec’s leader in IBD care, research and education. We deliver specialized patient care, pioneer innovative research, and deliver Canada’s foremost French-language gastroenterology training program.

Based at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), Quebec’s largest tertiary referral centre, the CHUM IBD Centre unites a specialized team of gastroenterologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, nutritionist, psychologist and research coordinators. Caring for thousands of IBD patients places us at the forefront of clinical innovation. This includes operating Quebec’s only dedicated IBD emergency endoscopy room, ensuring rapid intervention when patients need it most. Our team also leads 19 ongoing studies and multiple clinical trials, which are transforming treatment approaches and improving patient outcomes.
